My mom burned her astrology books and found Jesus when I was five. I was baptized in front of thousands. Jesus was genuinely my homeboy. I read the Bible twice by age twelve and devoted myself to every word. Then my mom found the foundation of Christianity is Pagan and went back to Judaism, moved us to a new town for the community, and I dove in completely. At eighteen I moved to Israel for a full year. It wasn't a summer trip. It was a complete commitment to the faith, to the people, to the land. I came back, kept Kosher, went to synagogue weekly, studied Hebrew for two years. Would only allow a Jewish dick inside me. Until the judgment crept back in. Until what was supposed to be sacred started feeling like a cage.

One-way ticket. No plan.

At twenty-one I bought a one-way ticket to Kauai, sold everything I owned and landed with a hotel room booked for one night. The next morning I found myself in a Native American sweat lodge. Not planned. That's just how my life moves when I stop holding on. I found a church that taught me to pray with real gratitude, a deep, embodied thank you for the water I drink, the earth I stand on, the breath moving through me. It changed something in my nervous system that hasn't changed back.

My mother died. I went looking for God in my body.

My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer while I was in Hawaii. She died ten days after I turned twenty-three. I could have gone numb. Instead, grief became my full-time job. I bought a one-way ticket to Asia. I studied yoga six hours a day in Thailand. I sat through my first ten-day Vipassana and somewhere around day seven, my body dissolved into light. Pure energy. No skin, no weight, no time.

At a detox retreat in Koh Phangan, deep in grief and physical pain, I had my first encounter with sacred sexuality. A Tantra master helped me release what was stored in my body and what happened wasn't just an orgasm. It was energy shooting up my spine, out through my fingertips. The grief that had lived as a physical knot in my body since my mother died: gone. Instantly. Permanently.

What is this? What is possible in this body? I've been answering that question ever since.

The part most coaches leave out.

After all these powerful awakenings, I walked into an abusive relationship. He slut-shamed me. I got smaller. I disconnected from everything I'd learned, because that's what shame does. It's quiet. Slow. And one day you realize you've disappeared.

I left. And through conscious kink, I reached the trauma that years of breathwork and therapy couldn't touch. A father wound I'd carried since I was two. Through a kink experience done with full consent and intention, I sobbed out the pain that had lived in my chest my whole life. Released. Finally and completely. My dad and I have the most honest relationship we've ever had now.

That's what initiated the idea seed for somatic kink.
